So, here ends the fourth 'Step' on my non-league Quest.
As per the rules, I have visited every home ground and travelled hundreds of miles in total, and in so doing have watched eighteen games of Step 5/Level 9 football.
On the pitch, the skill levels are improving all the time and the entertainment value is clicking up a notch. There are of course been a few dodgy games but overall I can justify the spend on fuel in terms of match action.
Of course, the Quest is really about the venues and the people, rather than the games. In this respect, and unsurprisingly, the facilities have been more impressive.

I am grateful to all the folks of Northern League Division One for their hospitality, integrity and commitment. I hope that the proud "ENL" - the second-oldest league in the world, remember! - shall continue and prosper with such dedicated supporters and volunteers.
For me, my whole Quest so far totals seventy venues.... now roll on Step 4 for twenty more!
